Heart pendants!

I LOVE hearts. Some people aren't heart people at all.....and I don't hold anything against them...but hearts just make me smile!! I have used heart cookie cutters before and have been happy with that. But I wanted to make one that had the pattern on both sides, so you can wear it anyway you want! Last night I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I figured I might as well give it a try! I am sure there are easier ways to get this style done, but I did it the way I figured it was done!! I will have to practice more, but this is a picture of my first attempt. I am pleased with it and can't wait to make more!

Pens and more pens!!

I do a street market on Tuesday evenings here in Parksville. It's called Summer by the sea market....or by the locals, Craig Street market! I had 4 wee little pens on my table last week, and sold 2 of them...so figured it was time to make some new ones. Yesterday I sat down and made 16 new pens for tonights market. After all the sanding....my fingers were kinda angry at me!! Very sore! BUT I got them done and they are ready to go for market tonight. Hopefully I won't be bringing ALL of them home!!

Learning curve

Well, one thing I have learned already, is if you post your post to see how lovely it looks! (lol) you can't then go and edit and add more photos. Or at least I can't find out how! So had to make a whole new post to add a few pictures of some of the canes that I have made. I have many more that need to be photographed, but that hasn't happened yet! Hope you like them!!

Here is one of my earlier canes. In the beginning it took me a few hours to complete each one. I am thankful that it is getting easier!

I got these cool little pendant trays, and fill with clay then cover with magic gloss. I love how they feel, and how rich the magic gloss makes the clay look!!

Blue flower....sorry for bad pics...working on that!

Pink flower....pretty original with the names eh??!!

WELL......I have to say, that I am proud of myself. It is hard to put MY work out there. Scared someone might say something that will hurt my feelings!! lol But remember what I said before...it is time to put the big girl panties on and just do it! So there it is! First of many! Thanks for taking a peek!

Photos are here!!!

Well, as promised, I am going to add a picture or two!! This one doesn't have any clay in it, but it is a new design for 2010. It is a little miss leading as it looks like a double strand. It isn't. It is just a long necklace, and I had to photograph it like this to show it all!!

Giving it a go again!!

Well, I figured that I enjoy looking at other peoples blogs....maybe someone might enjoy mine! But I figure I don't have much to say!! It has been an interesting year for me. Business wise....not so great. I am sorta in a time of thinking and rethinking things through and trying to decide what is the best course of action I should take.

I do really really enjoy making what I make and doing what I do....so I think I just need to put on the big girl panties and get out there and not be shy to show my stuff. I guess I just feel like so many are better than me....which is true, but that is just fine!! So, I will try to post my creations and yak about it.

My goals for September is to finally get my etsy and artfire shops up and running. I have been paying on my Artfire shop for a year...and you guessed it, it has been empty!!!

I think I will be adding both made jewelry and supplies. The supplies will be out of polymer clay, which is my newest love!! Maybe some destash at times too.

I will be putting in beads, and raw polymer canes. I am really enjoying making canes, but I have to figure out HOW to send them! I know there is a way, cause a lot of people do it. But I have to figure out a way to get it through the slot that ships cheaper at the post office. Crazy how expensive it is to mail things.

So, hopefully soon, I will post some pictures and get this new ball a rolling!!

Have a great and creative day,
Kam

I am BAAAAAAAAACK!

Where in the world did time go? I just didn't really seem to have much to "say"! So the blog posts were put on hold for awhile. I will try to keep things a little more updated here. I have some new pictures to put up, but we have a new picture program and I have no idea how to use it!! Imagine that. So for now I will not be able to post pictures till I get that figured out!

I just finished a 12 hour market....then tack a couple hours either side of that....makes for a long day. It was ok....was hoping for better business, but I can't be too sad with outcome. Was down from last year, but I know people are pinching their pennies....and I totally understand that!

I have 2 more shows in the next 2 weeks....so am busy getting ready for that. Hopefully they will go well!

I have a few new products that I will be posting soonish (I hope) and would love some input if I am on the right track or not!!

Have a great day enjoying the sunshine....well we have sunshine here!!
Happy creating!!!
